Origami Phoenix Ride

10th May 2003

By Trevor Batchelor

It was a sunny day that greeted the 12 riders at the Meriden Cafe. After the usual banter we set off in one of the many rain storms we were to suffer during the day.

Our route took us through the University of Warwick Campus where we saw the bluebells soaking up the sun in the woods. We passed through Stonleigh to arrive at the 3 Horseshoes in Bubbenhall for lunch. Due to the poor weather we took up Paul's idea of coffee at the Midland Air Museum in Bagington. On route Lorna got a front puncture which was repaired very quickly and the we regrouped at the museum. After a drink and toastie (for some) we headed back into the wind via Kenilworth and Crackly woods. Apart from the weather all had a good time. Route Distance 32.25 Miles per Mike Roberts Technical handlebar system.

Many thanks to Trevor for organising the ride and the route - MFH
