I recently got given a pair of folding sunglasses which are excellent, quite stylish, and take up very little room, as the arms swivel and fold parallel with the lenses (one arm at the top and one at the bottom, if you see what I mean).
They are called "Sole Mio" - and are (not surprisingly) made in Italy. They cost £9.99 at the Conran Shop (81 Fulham Road, SW3 Tel. 0171-589 7401). They come in a flat, rigid plastic case and - with case - are just under one centimetre thick, so fit easily into a shirt or hip pocket. (In fact I'm so pleased with them that I went out and bought three spare pairs!)
