We are intending to take the bikes by Thameslink from Sutton to Kings Cross, then catch the sleeper from Euston to Inverness on Friday 18 June. On Saturday morning we will take the train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh (love to cycle this bit but time does not permit). Once on the island we will be basing ouselves on Portree and using a hire car - we are not that committed to the hard life that we want to cycle everywhere.
For the return journey, the plan is to take a train to London, and then catch a train to Scotland from there.
